The 4-400 series of overhead cranes, with over 10,000 successful installations worldwide, is at the sharp end of industrial lifting giving massive flexibility across industries and across applications.
Morris Heavy Duty Cranes, the 5-500 series, share many of the features of the 4-400 in terms of design and manufacturing standards.
However the 5-500 series has been designed for heavy duty applications with extended duty cycles and high levels of loading such as may be found in the metal-working industries, power station applications and with electromagnetic or magnet grabbing equipment.
A jib crane is often the most ideal unit for manufacturing cells, small workshops, or facilities where insufficient space exists for an overhead travelling crane.
There are hundreds of applications where power operated cranes cannot form part of the materials handling system; for reasons of safety, cost or power availability.
Morris is aware that many customers export crane kits for assembly abroad or prefer to do their own fabrication. For such customers Morris supply a range of cranes in kit form.
A number of industries have a specific need to use cranes in hazardous environments. We provide as versatile a range of solutions in this environment as for normal working conditions.
Morris manufacture and supply versions of all our ranges in formats designated EEx 'd' and EEx 'e' Zone 1 11B T4 as standard, other designations are also available. These products are designed in accordance with BS2573, FEM IX and BS466. They are tested and certified by SIRA and BASEEFA and comply with CENELEC EN50018 and EN50019 standards.
